Mercy Corps is delighted to be a beneficiary charity for the twelfth consecutive year at the Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon. Since 2005, the Quadrathlon has raised a phenomenal £1,350,169 for Mercy Corps’ projects around the world, in turn leveraging over £5.5million in funding from other grants and institutions. That’s pretty unbelievable!
Mercy Corps is an international development and emergency response charity with our European Headquarters in Edinburgh, Scotland. We are a leading global humanitarian organisation saving and improving lives in the world’s toughest places. Working in over 40 countries, we partner with local people to put bold ideas into action, help them overcome adversity, and build stronger communities. Now, and for the future.
Improving family health and nutrition in Uganda
Karamoja is a conflict affected region of north eastern Uganda. It has the worst poverty ratings in the country, with 63% of the population living on less than a £1.50 a day. Nutrition is so poor that only 2% of infants receive a nutritious meal three times a day. Maternal mortality rates are amongst the highest in the world.
How will your fundraising help?
The 2017 Quadrathalon will support Mercy Corps’ work to break the cycle of under nutrition and poor maternal health by providing:
Every single pound you raise will give people in Uganda hope for the future and not just help for today. THANK YOU
“We are once again delighted to partner with the Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon. Our work at Mercy Corps would not be possible without the dedication of the individuals who compete physically and mentally in this tough event and raise funds to support our work in some of the world’s toughest places."
"We want to thank all participants for their hard work in preparing for the Quad and fundraising, as well as our many committed volunteers who give up their time to help out during the weekend. We wish everyone a very successful event!”
