Start

Ardtalnaig shore (Grid Ref NN 6968 3907) at 06.00 or 07.00 swim start

Swim 0.8 miles (1.35Km)

From Ardtalniag to the North side of Loch Tay (Grid Ref NN 685396). Approx timing: 18 minutes - 1 hour.

Run or Walk 15 miles (24Km)

Run or Walk over 7 Munros, encompassing the Lawers and Tarmachan Ridges to Loch Tay Highland Lodges. Approx timing: 5 - 10 hours.

  • Max height is 1,214 metres
  • Loch height is 103 metres
  • Total ascended height is 2,465 metres

The Munros, in order, are:

  2. Meall Garbh, Grid Ref NN 6439 4366, 1118m
  3. An Stuc, Grid Ref NN 6391 4315, 1090m
  4. Ben Lawers, Grid Ref NN 6354 4144, 1214m
  5. Beinn Ghlas, Grid Ref NN 6249 4041, 1090m
  6. Meall Corranaich, Grid Ref NN 6151 4106, 1060m
  7. (Reservoir Checkpoint, Grid Ref NN 6012 3939, 520m)
  8. Meall Nan Tarmachan, Grid Ref NN 5851 3904, 1043m
  9. (Descent Checkpoint, Grid Ref NN 6083 3774, 420m)
Kayak 7 miles (11Km)

From Loch Tay Highland Lodges, Grid Ref NN 6168 3566, at Milton Morenish back to Ardtalnaig. You must stay close to the north shore and only cross the Loch once you have physically touched "Bikini Beach". Approx timing 1½ to 2¼ hours.

Bike 34 miles (54Km)

34 miles (54Km) starts and finishes at the Event Hub, Grid Ref NN 6986 3928, cycling clockwise around Loch Tay. Pay attention to the steep hills, oncoming traffic and narrow roads on the south side. Approx timing 1¾ to 3½ hours.
