Of course it's all about raising funds for the event charities! The Artemis Charitable Foundation, the sponsor, is contributing a substantial amount to running the event in order to raise much needed funds for their chosen event charities. Artemis has nominated two charities to benefit from the 2013 Quadrathlon: Mercy Corps, an international development charity working in over 40 countries worldwide helping people to turn the crises of natural disaster, poverty and conflict into opportunities for progress. And Mary's Meals, an international movement to set up school feeding projects in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education.
The Artemis Charitable Foundation (registered Charity Number SC037857) administers all Quadrathlon fundraising and allocates the total funds raised to the event charities. Please ensure any online fundraising and donation cheques select or are payable to the Foundation, not the individual charities. Direct donations to the two charities cause additional administration that we are keen to avoid if possible!
To help us hit our fundraising target and secure the future of the event, participants pledge to raise a minimum of £450 each in a team of two, or £250 each in a relay team for the event charities when they register for the Quadrathlon. Both charities have specific projects that the 2013 Quadrathlon funds will benefit.
